Josette is passionate about art and helping the community, and has experience with assisting practicing artists and art teachers. Now residing in Houston, Texas they are further exploring their art practice with their completed BFA.

Their work consists of oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and wooden panels. They have experimented with found materials and uses them in their installations. Their work is inspired by their environment, mental health, past traumas, and therapy experiences. They value the practice of mindfulness to better understand the world around them in the past and present. Any place a person stands is a space, but their works focus on being in that space. They hope that viewers become mindful of their own perceptions and emotional responses to their surroundings.
